There are many elements that make up a successful video game, but one of the biggest is the music. Whether it’s music with lyrics or just background music to set the mood, your feeling towards a game is likely going to be influenced by the sound. The RPG genre seems to be one of the most well known for its sound, and with Drakengard 3 coming very soon in the US, the game’s sound director has spoken out about the role of music in the game in a new developer interview video.
During this video, Keiichi Okabe, the game’s sound director, speaks about the inspirations that lead to the sound we will see in Drakengard 3. He also spoke about how the sound would be different from what he did in the spinoff Nier. You can check out the full interview for yourself below as well as checking out some of the music samples from the soundtrack right here.
