Earlier today, we told you that Twitch Plays Pokemon was far from over as they were now taking on the next generation with Pokemon Crystal. However, we now have some information about the first playthrough that is very worth sharing.
The official Twitch blog shared the following numbers earlier today for the playthrough of Pokemon Red/Blue:
-The unfolding of the Story: 16 days, 7 hours, 45 minutes and 30 seconds.
-Pokémasters who mashed their keyboards: 1,165,140
-Commands issued: 122+ million
-Peak Pokémasters watching: 121,000
-Onlookers: 9+ million
-Total views: 36+ million
-Minutes watched: 1+ billion
I am still personally amazed that the game was beaten in only 16 days considering the number of commands issues that obviously were clashing with one another. How long do you think it will take to beat Pokemon Crystal?
