New Pokemon X and Pokemon Y trailer shows off starter’s second evolutions

Pokemon X and Pokemon Y

It seems like we are getting new information on the upcoming Pokemon X and Pokemon Y almost daily now. After getting some magazine scans the other day showing off Mega Mewtwo X and Mega Garchomp, we now have a full trailer again for the game with lots of new information.

The first thing shown in the trailer is the second evolution for the three X and Y starters Chespin, Fennekin, and Froakie. We now know that Chespin evolves in Quilladin, Fennekin evolves into Braixen, and Froakie evolves into Frogadier. The trailer shows a little bit of what they can do in battle before moving on to the next section. We also get footage of two Pokemon that it says are restored from fossils known as Tyrunt and Amaura, so it appears that a long running part of the Pokemon series will return with fossil restoration.

The next part of the trailer shows off some of the customization aspect of the trainers that we knew about already. However, your trainer isn’t the only thing you can customize. The trailer unveils that you will be able to groom a Pokemon known as Furfrou into different looks, of which it shows three. We don’t know if that is all or if that is all they showed.

The trailer then talks about Pokemon that has different looks for their male and female forms. These consist of the feline-based Meowstic and lion-based Pyroar. The trailer concludes with actual footage of Mega Garchomp and Mega Mewtwo X that we first reported on the other day. We get to see both of these in action before it ends.

Pokemon X and Pokemon Y will be released worldwide for the Nintendo 3DS on October 12. Check out the full trailer below:
