While everyone is busy playing World of Warcraft or Star Wars: The Old Republic, I’m sure that there’s some of you out there that plays Trion’s MMO, Rift. If so, then you need to know that the servers got hacked.
If you’re a subscriber or someone that used to play Rift, like myself, you should’ve have received an email from them. In the email, Trion revealed that an “unauthorized intruders” gained access to the Trion’s database, meaning information including user names, encrypted passwords, dates of birth, email addresses, billing addresses, and the first and last four digits and expiration dates of customer credit cards.
If you’re worried about the hackers getting your full credit card info, don’t worry as Trion has “no reason to believe, that full credit card information was accessed or compromised in any way.”
Well, there you go folks. If you’re a subscriber, it’s always best to change that credit card right away as you wouldn’t want someone stealing your credit card information or even your credit!
