Xbox One Kinect Voice Commands Missing In Some Countries At Launch

Talking doesn't do nothing

When the Xbox One launches in 13 countries later this year, not all of the countries can use the Kinect’s voice commands yet.

Out of the 13 countries that will get the Xbox One this November, the Kinect voice commands will only work in the five countries of United States, United Kingdom, Canada, France and Germany. The other eight countries of Australia, Austria, Brazil, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Spain and New Zealand will be missing out.

This comes from the official Xbox One product page website:

Xbox voice commands will not be available in all markets on the product release date. Voice commands will be available at launch in US, UK, CA, FR, and DE.

It’s possible Microsoft is still working on the voice commands so that it can understand the many accents people have. I remember it took over a year for the original Kinect to understand the New Zealand accent…
