A Witch’s Tale is the latest DS RPG from our friends at Nippon Ichi Software. The game is a classic dungeon crawler, following the story of Lidell, a young witch on a big adventure. We’ve seen many games like this on the DS before, but does A Witches Tale standout from the others?

If there is one developer out there who knows how to make a crime-filled adventure game, its Cing. This tiny Japanese studio is responsible for one of the most praised DS games games out there, Hotel Dusk. The newest adventure from Cing and KOEI Tecmo goes by the title Again, which traverses their familiar ground by investigating witnesses and trying to catch the killer. The catch? The crime scenes are set 19 years in the past. And the main character has psychic abilities that let him see things in the past and present simultaneously.

Atelier Annie is the first foray onto the DS for the popular Atelier Series from Gust. After three decent RPGs on the PS2 and even a few spinoffs, the Atelier series has become one of the most popular underground RPGs in recent times, despite it’s roots dating back to the SNES in Japan.

It’s not often that I find myself having to look through the instruction booklet of a game just to learn how to play it. Most games these days offer in game tutorials, and start off basic enough that even the most moderate of gamers won’t have much trouble quickly catching on to the mechanics.

Dementium II on the Nintendo DS is the follow up title to Renegade Kid's Dementium that was released a couple of years ago. I must admit, for a handheld survival horror- first person shooter game, the first Dementium somehow gave gamers the scary atmosphere they've come to expect from the genre. It's not as scary as players as say a Silent Hill game but it does its job. With Dementium II now available for the Nintendo DS, how does the game improve and live up to the survival horror genre?

If there is a game that is based on a movie or an anime, the majority of them are usually flops. The Dragon Ball series is one of the classic animes that is still popular and many games are still being made based of the series. When it comes to Dragon Ball Z games, we've usually seen fighting and action games.

No doubt that Nintendo owns the handheld market and that gamers are always buying every handheld that Nintendo releases. First it was the DS Lite, then the DSi, and now it’s the DSi XL. With the DSi XL out in North America this week, DS Lite and DSi owners are wondering if upgrading to a DSi XL is worth it? Sure, the screen is bigger, but what other benefits does the DSi XL have that the others don’t?

Ragnarok Online is one of the largest and most popular MMORPGs on the market. What started as a little online game from Korea, has blown up into a worldwide phenomena. Naturally, when something becomes popular, it expands. Ragnarok has always been a PC MMORPG, so it’s strange to see it branch out onto a console, a handheld no less. Ragnarok DS attempts to make the MMO people love a portable single player experience.

One of the most popular RPG series out there is the Shin Megami Tensei series. Persona 3 and Persona 4 are two of the highest rated console RPGs to date, so it comes at no surprise that Atlus has decided to rerelease the very first Shin Megami Tensei title for the Nintendo DS entitled, Devil [...]

The Spectral Force series has had quite the interesting run in North America. None of the titles released have been all that popular, and even it’s spinoffs have seen little success. Spectral Souls on the PSP was almost unplayable, and only four people even know there’s a Spectral game on Xbox 360. It’s been a rough few years for the little series, but now there’s a new game on the DS looking to turn things around.

The Legend of Zelda: The Spirit Tracks is the follow up title to Phantom Hourglass that was released on the Nintendo DS. The game takes place supposedly 100 years after the events of Phantom Hourglass. Fans who played Wind Waker for the Nintendo Gamecube and Phantom Hourglass should have no worries about on what to expect in the Spirit Tracks.
