Far Cry 3 Feedback Leads to New Features and Changes

Far Cry 3 is a great game (our review says so), but that doesn’t mean it can’t be improved. Ubisoft has been listening to player feedback since the game’s early December release and has detailed their plans to update the title with new features and changes.

The single player experience is receiving two new features, one of which has been heavily requested. A “Reset Outposts” option will be available in the pause menu once all outposts have been liberated and the story has been completed. Resetting the outposts allows players to revert them to their original hostile state and conquer them all over again. The second single player addition is a new difficulty. Once the game has been completed on either the Adventurer, Survivor or Warrior setting, the MASTER difficulty will become available. This jacked up difficulty deals out deadlier wildlife, pirates and privateers.

Notable multiplayer updates include the addition of a Beta Test Map option — this allows players to test out new maps while the creator spectates the match and makes changes based on feedback — and an expanded feedback feature for user-created maps, which includes “feedback tags”.

Currently, this update has not been dated, but feel free to read their future goals in their entirety on the official forum page.
