GameStop Ending GameCube Trade-Ins

Chances are you haven’t traded in a GameCube game in quite some time, but, in case you’re still enjoying the system, GameStop has officially announced that they will no longer be accepting GC hardware, software or accessory trade-ins.

This will go into full effect April 2nd. After that date, the current inventory of used GameCube products will no longer grow and will, in fact, begin to shrink as the remaining items are picked up by Nintendo enthusiasts.

Farewell GameCube. We will never forget the countless hours spent with Super Smash Bros. Melee, Metroid Prime and The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. What was your favorite GameCube-exclusive title? Let us know in the comment section below.

  1. Probably the most underrated system ever made. I spent hundreds of hours on SSBM alone with my brother. Great system, great games, very underappreciated.

  2. Wind Waker was my favorite. I would replay it many times while I still played my GCube. I just loved sailing the open ocean, looking at something odd in the distance, and not knowing whether I would find an island, a platform, some rupees, or even a giant squid. And when it was a giant squid, I would get into an epic battle with one. Great game.
