Assassin’s Creed III Officially Announced, Debut Trailer Released

Just as they said they would, Ubisoft made a huge announcement today, March 5th. Although various leaks last week beat Ubisoft to the punch, we have now been given an official Assassin’s Creed III announcement.

“”Assassin’s Creed III features the franchise’s most expansive setting so far, along with an exciting new hero and exponentially more gameplay. Whether you’re a longtime fan of Assassin’s Creed or if you’re new to the franchise, you’re going to be blown away by the scale and marvel of Assassin’s Creed III.”

Here’s the accompanying debut trailer:

Graphics (gameplay and cutscenes), AI and character models are all seeing significant updated due to Ubisoft-AnvilNex, the new engine powering the game. Assassin’s Creed III will be released on Xbox 360, Playstation 3, PC and Wii U on October 31, 2012.
