Lost Planet 2 Looks Promising; Hands-On Impression

Lost Planet 2 is one of the games I have been most looking forward to from Capcom. The idea of four player co-operative gameplay is indeed good and I finally got a hands-on with it through the demo that is now available on XBOX Live for everyone to download.

The demo that is available to play consists of one multiplayer boss. You team up to beat take down a giant six-legged monster. It took some time for me to get familiarized with the controls once more, but for anyone who’s played the original that will only take a few minutes.

Just like the first game, the key to beating the boss is to hit it on it’s thermal spot. Up to four people can join you in a single player campaign mode and there will be weapons scattered all across the map. The game play is exactly the same as the first, you activate the post to get your thermal high so that you can survive in the tundra and grab weapons as you go.

I’m assuming that the bosses in this game will be as epic as the first one.

Lost Planet 2 will be available for the Playstation 3 and XBOX 360 in 2010.
