With Code Vein‘s Sept. 27, 2019 release date fast approaching, Bandai Namco has released another trailer showcasing one of the many things players can expect.
Here we get our first look at the oddly named Invading Executioner boss. She has some slick moves, some of which have lead to comparisons to pole dancing, along with some terrifying power. This is a nice contrast to a number of previously shown bosses, which have been slow moving and big impact creatures.
While it certainly looks like Code Vein is going in its own direction, it will be interesting to see how it pans out. Both our 2018 and 2019 E3 impressions were mixed and it certainly seems more and more like Code Vein wants to be an odd cross of Dark Souls aesthetics and what we’ve come to expect from God Eater. If nothing else, it should be good, but perhaps not great.
