Dead or Alive 6 Doesn’t Have A Big Debut In The UK

Dead or Alive 6 Doesn’t Have A Big Debut In The UK

The UK game charts have been released but it looks like Dead or Alive 6 wasn’t as popular as previous games. The game sold far less than Dead or Alive 5.

As reported by GamesIndustry.biz, Dead or Alive 6 was only the 21st best selling video game of the week. It has been reported that the game sold less than half the number of sales Dead or Alive 5 got in 2012 when that game came out on PS3 and Xbox 360.

That being said, it’s possible the game sold far better digitally since digital sales are not taken into account in the UK game sales. I don’t live in the UK, but here in New Zealand many major retailers did not even stock Dead or Alive 6. It’s also feasible something similar happened in the UK which is why the sales are so low.

The PS4 version of the fighting game sold best. It accounted for 73% of all physical sales sold in the UK. The rest of the percentage should be for the Xbox One version of the game.

Surprisingly, the best selling game of the week still was Anthem. Anthem underwhelmed in its debut last month thanks to poor word and mouth and mediocre critic reviews. Despite all that, it was still the placed at number one this week. However, sales dropped by a large 71% compared to its debut week.

The only other new releases this week was The LEGO Movie 2 Videogame, Dirt 2.0 and also Trials Rising. Those three games placed at number 4, number 6 and number 10 respectively for the week.

Anyway, you can check out the top 10 best selling games of the week down below.
