A few days ago a YouTube video posted images of Call of Duty: WW2. It appears the leak from the video was legitimate as Eurogamer have confirmed with sources that it is true.
Eurogamer have verified that the images leaked are real and this year’s COD game will indeed be called “Call of Duty: WW2”. World War 2 was the original setting for many COD games in the past.
Sledgehammer Games are developing this game so this means we won’t be seeing a sequel to 2014’s Advanced Warfare. Fans have demanded the series leave the futuristic settings and now we are back in the past.
Activision chose not to comment back to Eurogamer when asked. It’s possible Activision will be making an announcement on the game very soon. They will probably wait until they get marketing for Destiny 2 out of the way first.
