Super Smash Bros. Update Trolls Fans After Possible Leak

Super Smash Bros. Update Trolls Fans After Possible Leak

Super Smash Bros.

Yesterday, we brought the rumor of playable Palutena for the upcoming Super Smash Bros. that was backed up with some pictures that seemed very legitimate, at least more so than ones in the past. The fact that Masahiro Sakurai didn’t dismiss it on Twitter like he usually does rumors made many thing he might unveil Palutena today, but in typical Sakurai fashion, he took the opportunity to troll the fans.

This could all be a huge coincidence, but you know he had to have heard about the leaks today and possibly as a result, he revealed a new stage, based on Kid Icarus: Uprising for the Nintendo 3DS version of the game. This image shows Princess Zelda and Rosalina fighting with the villainous Viridi in the background of stage, likely causing havoc for the fighters. Sakurai’s update on Miiverse had the following to say about it.

Pic of the day. This is definitely not a friendly girls night out…

Could he follow this up tomorrow with a reveal to end the week about Palutena coming in to save the day from Viridi? I guess we’ll have to wait and see at this point.
