Gearbox President Randy Pitchford has revealed during an indie games press conference that he’s like to see Borderlands 2 on Sony’s PlayStation Vita console.
Here’s what he said:
“One of the things I wish Sony would do is get behind Borderlands, because I’d love to see a Vita version of the game. I want to be able to have the character I’m working on with my PS3, and then when I’m on the road with my Vita I can just keep developing that same character because it exists on the cloud somewhere. Technologically, that’s possible.”
The main reason Borderlands 2 is not on the PS Vita is due to not having enough staff in Gearbox Software to develop a portable version of the game. He suggested there are other talented developers out there that could make this happen…
Maybe we might see a PS Vita version of Borderlands 2 in the near future? After all, games like Mortal Kombat, Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and others have been ported to the PS Vita.
