E3 2012: Luigi’s Mansion Dark Moon Detailed, Coming this Holiday

After Luigi’s success on the Nintendo Gamecube with his own game Luigi’s Mansion, he’s now set to star in another game with an upcoming spin-off to Luigi’s Mansion on the Nintendo 3DS.

Luigi’s Mansion Dark Moon is the follow-up title to the first game that was released on the Nintendo Gamecube almost over a decade ago. Similar to its predecessor, Luigi will be doing what he does best aside from jumping so high; use the vacuum to suck ghosts and clear the mansions.

According to Nintendo, fans of Luigi’s Mansion can expect a plethora of mansions within the game. Each mansion will be filled with unique puzzle elements and different types of ghost. As always, players must figure out a way in defeating each one of them and clues as to how to defeat them will be scattered throughout the mansion. Just like the first game, Luigi must do missions assigned to him by Professor E. Gadd and his survival will depend on his Poltergust 5000, a vacuum machine that sucks up ghost!

Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon is scheduled for release this Holiday season exclusively on the Nintendo 3DS.
