Notch has today released a screenshot from Minecraft Beta 1.8 that shows the new opened chest.
The use isn’t yet confirmed but one rumour is it will be used in dungeons eventually to show players which chests they have opened before. Minecraft beta 1.8 otherwise known as the adventure update will be released next week according to Mojang.
