It seems that when the Xbox 360 Game Room debuts later this year on Xbox Live, players will have to start their Game Room from scratch. Previously purchased Live Arcade titles will apparently not be eligible for import into the Game Room.
According to Game Informer magazine, Microsoft considers Game Room titles “originals”, which differ from Live Arcade titles, or “revamps”. There is no word on whether this stems from an underlying compatibility issue with the game codes with the Game Room infrastructure or another reason yet divined, but stay with us for more information as it develops.
