Lawbreakers/Radical Heights Developer Shuts Down

Cliff Bleszinski’s Boss Key Productions was started four years ago and the studio had big ambitions. ‘Cliffy B’ wanted Lawbreakers to be a $1 billion new IP to rival other hero shooters out there like Overwatch. Sadly though, Lawbreakers released last year to little fanfare and low player counts.

With the fact that Lawbreakers was not attracting a big crowd, Boss Key Productions again wanted to make another new game from a populated genre. Earlier this year, the studio released a Battle Royale game called Radical Heights as an early access title on Steam. Unlike Lawbreakers, this new game is free to play.

Despite being free to play, the player counts were also low for Radical Heights. The game was unable to compete with the likes of PUBG and Fortnite.

Due to all of the bad luck, Cliff Bleszinski, posted a sad statement that Boss Key Productions is shutting down. He said Lawbreakers was a great game that sadly failed to gain any traction. As for Radical Heights, he admitted they were too late to jump on the Battle Royale bandwagon.

Cliff Bleszinski is now taking another break from the video game industry to plan for his future. If you are still playing Radical Heights, don’t worry because the servers for that game are still going to be up for the near future.
