We already know that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe sold extremely well over in the UK, but now Nintendo has revealed the sales figures of the game over in the USA. The game sold a huge number over there!
Nintendo released a new press release and it stated that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on Nintendo Switch reached sales of 459,000 units over in the USA. This includes both digital and retail copies of the game.
They say the game is now the fastest selling game in Mario Kart history eclipsing the record set by Mario Kart for the original Wii console. Launch day sales for that game were 433,900 back in 2008.
This is impressive since the user base for the Nintendo Switch is smaller now than when the Wii had in 2008. It’s safe to say the game could overtake The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild to be the best selling Switch game.
