Just prior to one year since it came out, the mega popular game known as Overwatch has now amassed over 30 million players worldwide. One has to wonder how much bigger the game can get.
The official Twitter page for the game announced the following: “More than 30 million players have charged into Overwatch! Thanks for grouping up with us, heroes. We couldn’t ask for a better team“.
Some reasons why the game is popular is the fact that it doesn’t have a Season Pass or paid DLC. All new content in the game is offered for free to all players.
The only minor downside is that there is no single player campaign or any offline modes whatsoever. This hasn’t stopped the game from being popular since many people love to jump in online anyway. The game is out now on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
