Niantic is in in the middle of releasing a new update to Pokemon Go on both the iOS and Android versions of the game. You should see some necessary gameplay improvements.
The official Twitter page posted this message: “Trainers, Pokémon GO is being updated to version 0.57.3 for Android and 1.27.3 for iOS to implement performance improvements.”
In related news, Niantic also noted that they are celebrating Pokemon Day on February 27th. To mark the occasion, special Pikachu will be appearing in the game wearing festive party hats.
The Pikachu will be appearing on February 26 at 1:00 P.M. PST to March 6 at 1:00 P.M. PST. The Pikachu will be wearing this hat permanently, although you will only see them appear for one week. Catch them if you can when you see one.
