Square Enix might be planning of releasing Just Cause 3 sometime in 2015.
Founder of Avalanche Studios Christofer Sundberg listed a sandbox action game on his LinkedIn profile.
He described the unannounced game as:
New installment in a very well-known game series. The game is being developed at Avalanche Studios New York studio and is scheduled for completion in 2015 for next generation console platforms.
This is strong evidence that it’s Just Cause 3. Avalanche Studios made the other Just Cause games. They were sandbox games.
We might hear an announcement for Just Cause 3 at E3. It’s likely the game will be released for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One. The last game came out back in 2010 so it’s due for another game in the franchise.
