Star Citizen Adds New Stretch Goals, Extends Original Campaign

Star Citizen, the open world crowd funded space sim from Roberts Space Industries, has surpassed its original goal of 2 million dollars. In celebration of that accomplishment, a new stretch goal was added to the Kickstarter campaign. Should that campaign reach 750,000 dollars, a class 1 repair bot will be added to the game, and will be given to every player once they start the game. This new repair bot will be very useful to every player, and it will act as a “pilot’s best friend”. Should both the original and the Kickstarter campaign reach $2.5 million, another pilotable ship will be added to the game: the Anvil Gladiator. The Gladiator is the civilian variant of a powerful military bomber, and it is a “a capital ship’s worst nightmare”.

Roberts Space Industries has also extended the original campaign on their website by 10 days. This was done to make both the Kickstarter and the original campaign end on the same day, which is November 19th. Have you pledged to the game yet? If so, what are your thoughts about the game from what you have seen so far? Let us know in the comment section below. If you have not pledged yet and you wold like to, just click here.
