Battlefield 3 Premium Edition Receives Price Drop

Battlefield 3 Premium Edition was announced recently, coupling the base game with the Premium service. At the time of the reveal, the newest edition was set to carry a $69.99 price tag. Now, shortly before the game’s September 11th release date, EA has stated that the Premium Edition will debut at a lower price.

For $59.99 — the suggested retail price for nearly every game nowadays — you’ll get the following:

  • Engage in all-out warfare with award-winning multiplayer, intense co-op, and thrilling single-player missions.
  •

  • Get all 5 expansion packs including 20 new maps, 20 new weapons, 10 new vehicles, and 4 new game modes.
  •

  • Ultimate vehicle warfare returns with Battlefield’s signature vehicle warfare experience, including damaged vehicles that can retreat or be defended until they automatically regain armor.
  •

  • A whole new level of destruction awaits as Frostbite 2 lets you chip away at cover, blow holes in walls, deform the terrain, and bring down entire building facades on enemies.
  •

  • Get a head start online with 15 advanced weapons plus gadgets, vehicle upgrades, and more.
  •

  • Never go into battle alone thanks to the powerful new community and social features of Battlelog.
  •
With the Premium subscription costing $50 and Battlefield 3 currently going for $39.99, you can look at this package one of two ways: One, you’re getting Premium for $20 or, Two, you’re paying $10 for the game. Either way you look at it, the end result favors the consumer.

Many retailers, including Amazon, have already updated their listings for Battlefield 3 Premium Edition on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. So choose your preferred outlet and secure your copy!

    1. Ok i never really thought of buying battlefield on day one as purchasing a incomplete game. But now with this news. This is basically the complete version of the game. SOoooo I did buy a incomplete game. that sucks………….

    2. Well every EA game is incomplete and the folks at EA release patches and dlc to slowly finish them.
