OXM Reveals Medal of Honor: Warfighter

Lately, rumors have been going around concerning a sequel to 2010’s Medal of Honor reboot. We no longer need to speculate as the latest issue of Official Xbox Magazine has confirmed the existence of a new MoH title set for release this year.

Medal of Honor: Warfighter is being developed by Danger Close and will, once again, include a story following the Tier 1 Operators. Also, Frostbite 2.0, responsible for Battlefield 3, will be powering the entry. The primary difference between titles (based on available information at the moment) is that DICE won’t be in charge of the multiplayer this time. That job will remain in-house.

Medal of Honor: Warfighter will launch this October on, as of now, unspecified consoles, but we can safely assume that it will be on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360. With the release coming at the end of the year, a Wii U version wouldn’t be too far-fetched.

More information can be found in OXM’s new issue and more will be shown next month at GDC.
