Following on from the Xbox 360 dashboard update on December 6, starting next month FioS customers will be able to start watching live cable TV through their Xbox 360s, the internet and cable provider said today.
To access the service customers will need to subscribe to both FiOS TV and FiOS Internet and be Xbox LIVE Gold members. The service, will require downloading a free app for the Xbox 360 which will have 26 channels, will also support Kinect voice and gesture controls.
Verizon and Microsoft have not yet announced which 26 channels those are and that their availability is based “on the customer’s TV package.” Service plans begin at $89.99 which will also include a year of Xbox Live Gold and a copy of Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary.
