With the Liars and Cheats DLC pack for Red Dead Redemption comes a brand new online multiplayer game mode. Stronghold Mode is Rockstar’s take on the game mode commonly known as Attack and Defend, where teams either attack or defend certain control points through-out the map.
The Stronghold Mode will support 16 players, 8 per side, and once the attacking team has either control of all the points or lost all lives teams switch. Whichever team gains most points quickest wins meaning gameplay can become rather hectic as players aim to rake up points for their team swiftly. The mode will have 4 playable maps named Blackwater, Escalera, Fort Mercer & Thieves Landing. At least one of these maps will have a safe which unlocks the Explosive Rifle to the players who crack it. Here are a few screens from the brand new mode.
Stop him before he gets the rifle!
Cap that flag… FAST!
The flag pole seems to fit in well with the village
Stronghold Mode brings new challenges that and multiplayer titles to the online of Red Dead Redemption. It’s in the Liars and Cheats DLC pack and will be release on the 21st of September on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, costing 800 Microsoft Points on Xbox Live and £7.99 on PSN.
