With many titles having a less than convincing storyline it seems Criterion has decided to just not include one. In the upcoming Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit there will be no narrative in the single player, although there will still be a career mode. In single player players can still enjoy Time Trials, Races and Hot Pursuits.
The senior producer at Criterion, Matt Webster, said the company decided they “didn’t really think it was necessary to include a story,” instead they focused on creating “chunk of gameplay for the solo player.”
Will the lack of a story be bad for sales or will most players just be getting the title for the fast cars and the Hot Pursuits? We will find out when NFS: Hot Pursuit is released for PlayStation 3, PC and Xbox 360 on November 19th.
