Criterion the company behind the upcoming Need For Speed title Hot Pursuit have announced they have created a massive game world. Matt Webster part of the Criterion team explained that the Hot Pursuit world is a colossal four times larger than that of Criterion’s last driving game Burnout: Paradise.
Webster explained the world enables players to reach a amazing ‘260 miles an hour’ in certain cars using the games 100+ miles of tarmac roads. Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit will be made up of around roughly 35% ‘more off-road and shortcut areas’ than Criterion’s Burnout title. This sized map will be used mostly for the games cop chases both off and online.
Will this amount of city be good for players or is a map going to be needed 100% of the time to navigate, I’m sure we will find out soon enough.
