Don’t be fooled by the picture, it’s probably not a Tales game starring Judith.
Dengeki reports that Namco Bandai is scheduled to make a Tales announcement some time this summer. Those eagerly waiting for a new Tales announcement at yesterday’s Tales of Festival event will have to wait just a tad bit longer it seems. Takashi Otachi, producer of Tales of Phantasia Nariki dungeon X, during an announcement stated “It seems that there will be an announcement of some form this Summer.”
As disappointing and ridiculously sounding as it may be, an announcement of an announcement is still better than nothing. I think I’m starting to see a trend here, however, like: “Hey guys, the release date for Gran Turismo 5 will be revealed VERY SOON!” or “We have this super secret game we know about and we can’t say anything about it, but we’re writing this anyway just to tease you.” Come on, guys.
I’m still hoping for a PS3 Tales of Vesperia for North America though the announcement is most likely for a new game in the series. With Tales of Vesperia and Tales of Graces being for the Xbox 360 and Wii respectively, I think it’s about time the PS3 gets some Tales treatment.
