DICE Gives Us Some Details On Future Star Wars Battlefront 2 Updates

Star Wars Battlefront 2 did not have a smooth launch when it came out last year thanks to a lot of controversial features that soured the majority of gaming and Star Wars fans. Thankfully EA and DICE are trying their best to please gamers and this is via new updates that are coming to the game in the near future.

DICE did a huge AMA on the Battlefront forums and a user on ResetEra kindly summarized some of the best parts. It sounds like there’s a lot to look forward to for those that already own the game. Let’s rundown some of the best parts of what DICE said.

Free content is still expected to be released in the future via Seasonal Events. Most of the new content is tied to the new films, but they are still listening to fans on what else should be included. This includes new planets, new characters, new modes and other things.

In terms of development, the team working on post launch DLC is much larger than the team that worked on the first DLC for Star Wars Battlefront. Aside from new content from the films, we might see more things from the popular The Clone Wars animated series too.

We know classes are in the game, but character customization is also planned soon. PC gamers don’t have to worry about this thanks to mods. PC gamers already made a pink Darth Vader!

Some returning maps from the first Battlefront might be coming as well. Speaking of maps, more flying levels are to be included too. This also includes flying levels that are not even set in space. The last notable thing said is that there aren’t current plans to add more to the single player story, although plans can change due to fan demand.
