Respawn CEO Not Worried About Being Bought By EA

EA recently bought Respawn Entertainment for $455 million. Respawn’s CEO, Vincent Zampella, is not worried about the buyout.

Recently, EA shutdown Visceral Games a few weeks ago. EA has shutdown many gaming studios over the years that it has bought out. Mr Zampella is however not worried about the future.

Zampella said the following to Gamesbeat: “It’s always a balance. You have to worry about security and foundation of the company. How do you get to new games while still maintaining old games. I am not worried. I think the creative freedom is still here. So we get the best of both worlds.

Even when asked specifically about Visceral Games’ situation, Respawn feels their future is secure thanks to their track record. The studio developed the popular Titanfall video games and will soon start its own Star Wars video game too.
