PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) will be running at a smooth 60fps if you are playing it on the Xbox One X. Sadly, you might only get 30fps while playing on the original Xbox One or Xbox One S.
Bluehole’s Brendan Green revealed this piece of info during an interview with gamesTM magazine (via WCCFTech). Xbox One X owners will get a better performance from PUBG compared to other Xbox gamers.
He said: “Definitely on Xbox One X, 60FPS. On Xbox One, we’re not sure. We may have to limit it at 30FPS, maybe, but the last time I saw it, it was running at about 30 to 40. We’re still constantly improving it so, you know, the aim is to get to 60.”
The game will still be in preview phase for Xbox gamers when it launches later this month. There is still enough time for the game to hit 60fps on older hardware. That said, the visuals may have to be compromised in order to hit the 60fps benchmark.
