There has been some controversy over the last couple of weeks concerning Star Wars Battlefront 2 and how you progress in the game. An EA developer has called out that most of the fears are inaccurate.
Sean from EA responded on Twitter by saying: “And BF2 doesn’t fit the definition of P2W because nearly everything can be unlocked via game play. It may take longer/be harder than ppl prefer – but it’s not P2W“.
He also says that a recent Reddit article claiming that it takes 40 hours just to unlock one hero/villain character is inaccurate. He feels it won’t take players that long to unlock their favorite characters.
If problems do occur, EA is promising to listen to the feedback of many gamers. Hopefully EA is able to find a good balance that will satisfy both their investors as well as gamers.
