If you have an original Wii console, try and buy everything you can on the eShop as the online shopping channel will be shutting down in January 2019.
Nintendo made the announcement on its official website today. The online Wii shop will be shutting down forever on January 31, 2019.
You will have to purchase Wii points before March 27, 2018. After that, you cannot purchase anymore points. You can try and transfer digital items from the Wii onto the Wii U.
It’s amazing the Wii shop lasted so long since the console first came out back in 2006. Anyway, buy everything you want before it shuts down for good.
