Activision Is Interested In Making Call of Duty Movies

Activision Is Interested In Making Call of Duty Movies

The Call of Duty franchise has already dominated the gaming industry, but now Activision is going to set its sights over to Hollywood. We may be getting more than just one film.

According to a recent interview with The Guardian, Activision has plans to make a movie universe based on Call of Duty films similar to what Marvel has done.

Both Stacey Sher and Nick van Dyk who are co-presidents of Activision Blizzard Studios spoke to The Guardian about the COD series moving on to the big screen.

Sher tells the website that there are multiple scripts out there with research done by “military experts and retired soldiers”. They have plotted movies for many years. She teases there will be a film like Black Ops while another has the same feel of a Modern Warfare game.

Van Dyk says it will have high adrenaline action, although the films won’t just retell the stories of the games directly. They don’t want to stop at movies either as a TV series is being considered.

Will you be interesting in possibly seeing numerous COD movies or even a TV show being made in the future? If so, who would you like to see get cast in them?
