Soul Gems in The Elder Scrolls Online are one of the items that are very important to a lot players. Whenever a piece of equipment is out of enchantments, one of the items people will need to recharge them is the Soul Gem. Aside from using it to recharge armors and weapons, another use of the Soul Gem is for reviving someone or yourself while in battle.
Since it’s quite expensive to buy a Soul Gem from merchants in the game, many are people are wondering just where to farm it. While there is a Soul Gem that you can recharge, there are those gems that you can use once to recharge them.
Where to Farm for Soul Gems
One of the ways to get a lot of Soul Gems in your possession is by defeating the bosses of every dungeon available in the game. If you feel like doing an instanced dungeons over and over again, you can do that and you will get a lot of Soul Gems by clearing them a lot of times. While that may seem like a tedious thing to do, the much easier way is to clear a Public Dungeon, get to the end of it and fight the mini-boss. For every two to three minutes, the boss will respawn. Every time a boss respawns, you will see a Soul Gem.
Charging the Soul Gems
If farming them may seem like a lot of work, the easier way is to buy an empty soul gem from any merchants in the game and recharge them. When you have an empty soul gem with you, recharging them is possible and you can do it by fighting off enemies. Before you get started, make sure that your Soul Trap ability in your Skills are activated.
Once the Soul Trap ability is available for you to use, put them in your action bar and cast them on the monster. Once casted, kill the enemy and if you’re lucky, you will fill that empty soul gem you have in your possession.
