With Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze having just released, we thought it would be a good time to help out with some guides for the game. In this game, to access the three bonus levels in each world, you must find at least one secret exit to gain access to the rest. As a result, we thought it would be a good idea to tell you where to find these exits, as some are harder to find than the others. Over the last few days, we’ve brought you the secret exits for the first couple worlds in the game and now it’s time to take a look at the third world of the game, Bright Savannah.
It seems like every world so far has been a little different with the secret levels, and in World 3, we gain access to the two bonus levels through two separate secret exits in the same stage, 3-5 Twilight Terror, which features the infamous rocket barrel. For some reason, the secret exit we come across first in the stage leads to 3-B rather than 3-A, so we will cover it first.
3-5 Twilight Terror (Leads to 3-B Bramble Scramble)
You must have Dixie Kong or Cranky Kong with you to reach the end barrel for this secret exit. A good bit into the stage you will come across the first checkpoint, which you should continue past through the next segment until you begin to reach what appears to be an inside building. Instead of staying near the middle of the screen, go near the top, as seen in the above image and you will notice the secret exit behind the wall. Now that you’ve gone through the blue portal, use Dixie Kong or Cranky Kong to reach the end barrel and advance to 3-B.
3-5 Twilight Terror (Leads to 3-A Rickety Rafters)
You must have Dixie Kong to reach this secret exit. As said above, the second secret exit in the stage is located further in the stage than the one before, so make sure you play through the stage as listed above, minus going to the secret exit, until you reach the second checkpoint. Jump back in the rocket barrel and play through the rest of the stage until you get dropped in a big pool of water. Ignore the end barrel here, as seen in the above image, and swim further down until you see the blue portal that you must have Dixie Kong to reach. Hold down A as you swim towards this portal and you will arrive at the end barrel and advance to 3-A.
Just like in the other worlds, to access the final bonus stage 3-K, collect the four KONG letters in each stage, including 3-A and 3-B and it will open up. Stay tuned for the remaining worlds’ secret exits in the coming days.
