In 2005, both Namco and Bandai announced that they would be merging together and as a result becoming one entity, Namco Bandai. Ever since, the company has been one of the most prolific gaming developers in the market. Now, the company has announced that they will be officially changing their name to Bandai Namco.
Oddly enough, this is actually the current name of the company in Japan, but the rest of the world was under the Namco Bandai name. This new change will standardize the name in all regions under the name of Bandai Namco.
