Dead Rising 3 ‘Operation Broken Eagle’ Features No Co-op Gameplay

Dead Rising 3 (2)

Today brings us the long awaited release of the first set of four upcoming “Untold Stories of Los Perdidos” DLC episodes for Dead Rising 3 titled Operation Broken Eagle. Ahead of this release, Xbox Wire spoke with the game’s executive producer, Josh Bridge, about this new DLC episode.

Operation Broken Eagle is said to be a single-player focused experience only, with no co-op included at all.

No, there’s no co-op for each of the four episodes. We chose to do that so we could really drill down on a single-player experience and really tell that character’s story. We see and know that everyone really loves co-op, which is why all of those weapons and vehicles and stuff you get in the episode can be brought into the main game for co-op as well. So, say, in Nightmare mode, you can go into the weapons locker and vehicle garage and find that stuff there.

Bridge also revealed that the DLC is 13 GB, so that appears to be the reason for the 13 GB update a couple days ago. He further says that it is very worth downloading due to the fixes, even if you aren’t purchasing the DLC episode. The full interview and a rundown on the fixes in this patch can be found right here on the official Xbox website. Some images from the DLC episode can also be seen in the gallery below.
