Dragon’s Crown fans receive major gift from developers for Christmas

Dragon's Crown

Dragon’s Crown was one of the better RPG games released this year and now right ahead of Christmas, the developers have what seems like an early Christmas gift for fans of the game. Previous patches have added big features like cross-buy, but now the fifth patch adds even more.

Vanillaware has always been known for their high levels of difficulty and the latest patch has now introduced an even higher difficulty setting with the Ultimate difficulty setting. Once you clear the ninth layer of the Labyrinth of Chaos, you will have access to the new setting.

Due to the game being much harder now, the patch also increases the level cap from 99 to 255. This is pretty incredible as you now have 156 more levels to go back and grind out after thinking you were done before.

Lastly, beyond the other various tweaks to the game, there is one more major part of this part, a brand new dungeon for you to play in once you are on the Ultimate difficulty setting.

Once you’re on Ultimate difficulty, there will be a new dungeon unlocked, called the Tower of Mirages. It’s randomly generated and it has tens of thousands of levels. TENS. OF. THOUSANDS. I say this with all sincerity, since I know some of you are going to try to KO it: “Good luck.

For those interested, the brand new patch for Dragon’s Crown is available for download right now.
