Video gamer around the world were wondering if Portal’s GlasDOS could be heard during the Pacific Rim movie trailer released a few weeks ago. The movie’s director (Guillermo del Toro) has confirmed this.
He confirmed this during an interview with the Toronto Sun as he is a big fan of the Portal series. GlaDOS’ voice actress (Ellen McLain) will voice in the actual movie itself, although she will sound different in the full movie than the voice that was heard during the trailer.
“I wanted very much to have her, because I’m a big Portal fan,” he said. In the film, however, “The filter we’re using is slightly less GLaDOS. Slightly. The one in the trailer I wanted to be full-on GlaDOS.”
If you’re looking forward to seeing Pacific Rim later this year, you might be disappointed to hear that GlaDOS won’t sound the same as she did in its trailer…
