Microsoft has confirmed to Joystiq that total sales for the Gear or War series now stands at 19 million.
This figure is up from 18 million last recorded back in July this year. Sales for Gear of War 1 and 2 notched up dates of around 12 million combined. With that being said, Gears of War 3 has sold around 7 million copies so far .
Quite an achievement considering the Gears of War franchise is only available for the Xbox 360. Sales for franchise is sure to increase next year when Gears of War: Judgment is released. This is sure to increase the sales of the franchise well past the 20 million mark.
