During their E3 press conference, Ubisoft reaffirmed that in Assassin’s Creed 3 Connor’s enemies are not just the English despite most of the footage showing him taking on the English troops.
After the main preview was over, it was asked whether the English were the main enemy as Assassin’s Creed 3 revolves around the American Revolution. The response was mostly conclusive saying, “The enemy has always been the Templers and the same can be said about Assassin’s Creed 3”. However the famous line of “you’ll have to play the game” was broken out.
