BioWare Says Star Wars: The Old Republic Subscription Numbers Remain Steady

BioWare has claimed that subscription numbers for Star Wars: The Old Republic have remained steady since the game came out last December.

This is a direct response from a report suggesting that the game’s subscription numbers peaked at 1.7 million players back in February with subscribers dropping off from then on. The report suggested only 1.25 million people will remain playing the game by March 2013.

BioWare lead writer Daniel Erickson told PC Gamer: “Nothing is off the table when it comes to making sure our communities are strong and active on each server“.

The best way BioWare could increase subscription numbers is by decreasing the price. We’ll just have to wait and see what BioWare does to keep players interested in playing the game.
