Just Cause developer Avalanche Studios has announced that they will reveal their new project at the upcoming E3 2012. Christofer Sundberg, founder of the studio, confirmed that the game they are revealing will not be a new entry in Square Enix’s Just Cause franchise or Sega’s Renegade Ops series.He did state that it was a licensed game but would not be a movie tie-in.
“We aren’t particularly interested in movie-based games. I think the whole industry destroyed that. So much money’s been pumped into those crappy games, it’s amazing. It’s really scary when you look at how bad they are.”
It is rumored that Avalanche Studios is working on Mad Max: Fury Road title to tie-in with the release of a possible new movie. Whether this is the game they are working on or not remains to be seen. If it is then they will probably be eating those words that are posted above.
