Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine Dreadnought DLC Hits Next Week

Not too long ago, the official Space Marine Facebook uploaded a screenshot of a Dreadnought in Space Marine. They didn’t say anything at the time about the image which left those who saw it even more excited.

Now, THQ is ready to do more than tease its fans. Next week, The Dreadnought DLC will be available on Xbox Live, Playstation Network and Steam.

Here’s what’s added:

– Dreadnought Assault multiplayer mode
– 3 new multiplayer maps (Desolation, Dome Mechanicus and Chem Refinery)
– New Achievements/Trophies

In Dreadnought Assault, the objective is capture and control a specified location. Once captured, a Dreadnought will spawn that can be directly controlled by a player. Using a wide array of weapons (Assault/Auto Cannon, a Meltagun and a Power Fist/Claw), the Dreadnought must capture different points on the map. If at any point the Dreadnought is destroyed, a new spawn will be set.

That isn’t all that Space Marine players get on January 25th. At the low price of $0, a Capture and Control Mode will be added to the multiplayer section of the game. It will be playable on all maps and is very similar to Dreadnought Assault minus the Dreadnought.

If you feel like spending a little more money, THQ has one more option for you: Iron Hands and Death Guard skin packs. They will be 240 MSP/$2.99.
