Naughty Dog is one of the most talented development studios in the video game industry today. With games such as Jak and Daxter, Crash Bandicoot, and the Uncharted series under their belt, we’ve all come to have high expectations of them.
That being said, this should mean that The Last of Us is a guaranteed hit right? Well, maybe not. As it turns out, The Last of Us has actually been in production for almost two years now. This raises some questions as to how they had the time to develop such an amazing game as Uncharted 3 while at the same time work on a completely new IP. The answer is quite simple actually: by having two teams.
So does this mean that Naughty Dog now has an A squad and a B squad? Or will they continue to wow and amaze us as both teams are equally as talented and can produce stellar games worthy of the name Naughty Dog. Only time will tell, but with the game having two years already in development, we may not have to wait very long.
