Tips & Hints

1. Don’t Get Yourself Surrounded by Enemies – There will be times where three to four enemies will ambush you. If you see that there are at least more than two enemies in a room, don’t enter. Lure them out to a big open area so that it’s easier for you to attack them. Simply rushing through inside will get you surrounded and once they see that you let your guard down, the enemies will get aggressive and will instantly kill you.

2. Use the Bonfire to Make Enemies Respawn – Grinding for Souls is what you would need to do in order to survive Dark Souls. If you find an area where you think gives you a great amount of Souls and the Bonfire is just right there, use it to make it respawn. Every time you touch the Bonfire, the enemies will respawn allowing you to kill them over and over again.

3. Look for Alternate Passages and Secret Treasures – Dark Souls is designed to have multiple paths. If at some point the area you go into has strong enemies, it means that there are other paths that you should take. Looking for alternative paths will lead you to treasures that may benefit you.

4. Each Boss has a Weakness – Bosses in Dark Souls are hard and they’re no push overs. There will be times you might think that the bosses are impossible to beat, but if you take your time and analyze the way they attack and their weaknesses, you’ll then find out that they’re not entirely impossible to kill.

5. Use your Soul Wisely – Souls in Dark Souls acts like your experience points and money. To level up, you need to acquire a specific amount of Souls. For buying Miracles or Magics, Souls will also be used.

6. Drop the Soap to get Help – If you really can’t finish a certain boss and you have someone higher leveled to help you, you can ask for their help by dropping the Whi ownte Soapstone. Remember that there are limitations as to what your online friend can do when they help you. When both of you successfully finish a boss, the online player will go back to their world.

7. Watch our for Invaders – There’s PvP combat in Dark Souls. At some point in the game, other players in the world may invade your world and kill you. Simply killing you will gain back their humanity and you can do the same. If you have a Red stone that blocks them temporarily, use it if you wish not to be killed.
